Taken from the Reopening September 2020 Booklet - please follow these procedures until further notice:
How does drop off work?
A: Each site will have a one-way system, so that parents and children will enter through one gate and leave through another. These are clearly signed and we will send new videos to families and children so that everyone can see how this will work. Families will be asked to queue at 2m gaps which will be marked by footprints. Each class will have a designated entrance. Once the children have entered school through their allocated entrance, parents should leave the site using the one-way system. To support the flow of people through the sites, we will be using a staggered start time. At all three sites, children whose surname begins with A-K should, where possible, arrive between 8:30 and 8:45am. Those whose surname begins with L-Z should aim to arrive between 8:45 and 9am.
How does pick up work?
A: The one-way system on each site will also operate at pick-up time. Again, to control the number of people on site at any one time, we will be operating a staggered collection time.
At Manstone and Vicarage, children whose surname begins with A-K should, where possible, be collected between 3 and 3:10pm. Those whose surname begins with L-Z can be collected between 3:10 and 3:20pm.
At Woolbrook Road, children whose surname begins with A-K should be collected between 3:05 and 3:20pm. Those whose surname begins with L-Z should be collected between 3:20pm and 3:30pm. At all three sites, children will be brought to the playground and dismissed to parents as they arrive. Parents are asked to leave the site swiftly once they have collected their children. For children in Year 5/6 who are allowed to walk home alone, parents will need to inform the office, who keep a list of those given permission. These children will be dismissed at 3pm.
Our teachers will continue to work closely with you as parents, but communication will continue virtually, through phonecall, email or videocall when requested.
(Procedures during 'normal times' - please refer to the ABOVE procedures until further notice
Children are welcomed into the classroom from 8.40am. The school day starts at 8.55am at Manstone Avenue and at 9.00am at Vicarage Road and Woolbrook Road. If you arrive after 9.00am the school gates will be locked and you will need to report to the school office. The school day finishes at 3.05pm at Vicarage Road, 3.15pm at Manstone Avenue and 3.25pm at Woolbrook Road.
Sept 2018 Update: Please note that arriving late after the register has closed (after 9:20am) has to be recorded as an Unauthorised Absence. Arriving after the start of school (8:55am at Manstone, 9am at other sites) but before 9:20am, is recorded as an ‘L’ (late mark) and we also have to report significant occurrences of these for any individual. If you have particular difficulties around attendance or lateness, we are always keen to help and find solutions so do contact a senior leader or our Parent Support Advisor, Tracey Tipton, through any of the school offices.)
