Sidmouth Prayer Group

Sidmouth Primary School has a prayer group that meets once a term. It is made up of staff, parents, grandparents, local clergy and other members of the church community that have an interest in the school. We meet once a term and pray for the different events that are going on in the school, staff and pupils. If you want more information please contact sarah.prince@firstfederation.org.uk
The next prayer group will be on (TBC) at Vicarage Road. It starts at 12.30pm and will run for about half an hour.

Education Sunday

A great time was had by all when we joined with the church for Education Sunday.  The children shared readings and prayers and sung songs. We even had a community building quiz! It was great to see members of the local and church community joining us to celebrate our school community. The thought was shared that we are all part of one body (1 Corinthians 12) and made us think about what we can do to serve others in our local and global community. Unfortunately we were all too busy having fun to take any photos!

Easter Trail

In order for the children in Key Stage 2 to explore the story of Easter, local churches set up an Easter Trail for the children to follow. Each station explored a different part of the story and gave the children the opportunity to reflect. The adults leading the stations got fully into character by dressing up. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trail and came away knowing the story more fully and the significance of it for Christians.

Christingle Workshops

Members from the local church community came in and helped Key Stage 2 children make a Christingle. Whilst making the Christingles they shared the significance of each part and why it was important to Christians. Once again it was lovely to see the children interacting so well with different members of the local community.
