Through the topic ‘People in the Past’ the children from 2PN have been exploring the life and works of two artists. They began with L.S. Lowry, creating a fact file of his life and then painting and drawing a seaside picture with matchstick people and animals. Mckenzie remembered that Lowry only used 5 colours in his work so used the same five in her piece of artwork. This week the children began their investigation of William Morris and used fruit and vegetables to create a repeating pattern print as Morris used these patterns and symmetry in his wallpapers and tapestries.
