We wondered about - Whether children should be allowed to vote...
Welcome back 3/4HS. It was wonderful to hear all your Christmas stories today. Thank you so much to all of you and your families for the kind gifts and cards. I have consumed all of the chocolate, (with a little help)!
This term we will have a focus on geography comparing an area of Spain to our local area. If you have anything Spanish, please send it in! Thank you.
Please, please encourage your child to use the online resources for home learning. The TTRockstars is absolutely key to improving times tables. Bugclub has some super books and will help children to think about the books in more depth. Spelling shed has some great games and should be a bit of fun!
Hope to have a great Spring term, Mrs Stuart

What an incredible first half term 34HS has had!
All children have shown a super effort to increase their home reading, which is already impacting positively on their writing. Thank you for your family's support in this.
We have been working on addition and subtraction in maths. This will continue after the break. In English, the children have created a non-chronological report about a made up river creature. They had a lot of fun thinking about all of the disgusting things the creatures might do!
We have learned a lot about rivers and the water cycle this half term. After the break we will be starting a new topic. Watch this space...
Thank you for being a thoughtful, hardworking and friendly class.
Happy holidays! Mrs Stuart

Welcome to the 3/4HS class page!
It's the start of a new year, yet our class are already immersed into their new learning.
So far, they have enjoyed learning about place value of 3 and 4 digit numbers in maths.
In English, they are writing a narrative with a river theme.
We are looking at atlases and maps in geography and are full swing into reading and spelling!
The children will get their logins this week for TTRockstars, MyMaths and Spelling Shed.
I hope they have an enjoyable year with lots of fun and new learning! I have enjoyed meeting all of the new children and their grown ups. Please ask should you want to see me, or you can email the school and it will be forwarded to me.
Welcome again! Mrs Stuart
