Class 1RN

Thank you to everyone that attended the Reading Morning at Vicarage Road on the 8th November. It was great to see a buzz around reading!

Our Topic this term is Time Travelling Toys.

For this topic we will be focusing on D&T and history.

In History we will be exploring the differences to current toys and toys from the past. We will use our science knowledge to investigate the properties and materials used. The children will be looking at the vocabulary used to describe things from the past as well as investigating who would have played with different toys.

In D&T we will be designing and making our own hand puppets. The children will investigate the materials that would be suitable and design their own puppet. They will then use tools to make their design and evaluate their final product.

I am looking forward to sharing the children's learning with you as the half term progresses.

The Star of the Week is...Bonnie for her fantastic effort in writing.

Cookie the Achievosaur!

Cookie is always looking to spot children that are being achievosaurs in class. He then chooses someone to go home with at the weekend to go on adventures.

This week Cookie chose Charlie for being a tryatops and being resilient in his learning.

Bug Hunt at the Byes. Thank you to all the fabulous volunteers who helped us!

Parent Workshop. Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting. I have attached all of the documents mentioned. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Welcome to 1RN's Page
