The children have worked so hard, and all deserve a restful Easter break. We will be working on time and money after Easter, so any discussions around these things will really give us a head start!
Please encourage your child to read for at least 5-20 minutes every day. Ask them questions about what they are reading too! There has been a marked improvement in 34S attitude to reading and this is really showing through in their writing, in particular, their vocabulary choices. Keep it up 34S.
I'm looking forward to an exciting Summer term, hope you are too!
What a wonderful half term we're having in 34S.
The Snow Queen performance was a great success, the children had a lot of fun on stage. Thank you all for coming along to watch, but more importantly, for allowing your child to practise their singing at home!
We have been continuing our Geography and learning all about different places. The homework that has been brought in is absolutely superb! The children have produced games, posters, information leaflets and Lego homes! We have enjoyed sharing them in 'Show and Tell'
This week, the children have written their version of The Lost Happy Endings story. They have worked so hard and cannot wait to show them to you on parents evening next week (26 and 28 March 2019).
Welcome back 34S. Hopefully, you have all had a wonderful break and are keen to get back to school!
Thank you parents for encouraging your child to use the fabulous Spelling Shed and Times Tables Rockstars home learning apps. This will really help your child to progress. Unfortunately, there are many children who are still not using this, so please let me know if you are have any issues with logging on or with access.
Mrs Stuart, Feb 19.
Apologies for lack of updates on 3/4S and their learning. An unfortunate incident (dropped iPad) has meant that there have been no photos taken in the first couple of weeks back.
We are back up and running now...
34S have settled back in well after the lovely half term break.
The children are continuing their topic this half term - Ancient Egypt and will be learning about irrigation techniques. They will design, build and evaluate their own shadouf!
We will be doing lots of times tables this year, and are always grateful for your support at home with this. It really does help.
We are always looking for adult readers to come in and read with the children. Please let me know if you or perhaps a grandparent would like to help with this. It is sure to be fun and rewarding!
Do you have any ideas for this page? Why not let your teacher know.
3/4S Mrs Hayley Stuart
