Welcome to 3/4RT’s Class Page!
Our new topic for this term is 'Rocking Through The Ages!'. We will be learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age! Keep checking on our page to find out all about our learning!
In history, we have been learning about different time periods. We worked together in small groups to place each period from history in chronological order - it was a lot trickier than we thought it would be!
During Curriculum Week, we learnt all about British Values - in our class we talked about individual liberty and tolerance. We discussed characteristics and beliefs that make us different and how we can show respect for these.
Have a look at our self-portraits below - we are all so unique but equally important!
Have a look at the rest of our page to find out about the learning we did in the Autumn and Spring terms!
In English, we have been retelling the story of Cinderella through role-play and freeze frames.
In Maths, we have been developing our knowledge of number and place value. In the photos below, you can see the different ways of representing numbers.
We have been learning about light and sight in science - take a look at our pinhole projectors and our work on shadows!
As part of Science Week, we were able to visit the Byes to take part in a kick sampling activity. We were amazed to see all of the different creatures living in our local river!
In PE, we have been improving our balance and movement skills in gymnastics.
Temples, Tombs and Treasures Topic!
We have also designed our own Canopic Jars using clay.
In music, we have been using our voices as instruments, focusing on volume, pitch and repetition. We then performed our graphic scores in front of the whole class - we were very brave indeed!
We enjoyed making Christingles and finding out about the meaning of each individual part.
Of course we had to taste test the sweets before we added them to our oranges!
Keep checking back on our page for regular updates and photos of our learning!
